Suggested Itinerary
Your day begins with door-to-door pickup from your accommodation in Banff or Canmore. After meeting your guide, you’ll set out toward Kootenay National Park, a beautiful and often quieter part of the Canadian Rockies known for its river valleys, forested slopes, mountain viewpoints, and unique geology.
The first part of the experience may include a scenic drive through Kootenay National Park with stops such as Marble Canyon and Numa Falls. Marble Canyon offers a short and scenic walk along a narrow limestone gorge, where turquoise water has carved through the rock over time. Numa Falls provides a powerful riverside viewpoint and a chance to experience one of the park’s classic waterfall stops.
From Kootenay, the journey continues toward Yoho National Park, where the landscape shifts into dramatic waterfalls, glacial rivers, and alpine lakes. Stops may include Natural Bridge, where the Kicking Horse River has carved through ancient rock, and Emerald Lake, one of Yoho’s most beautiful and photogenic destinations.
When seasonally accessible, the tour may also include Takakkaw Falls, one of the tallest and most impressive waterfalls in the Canadian Rockies. Depending on timing, conditions, and your group’s interests, Wapta Falls may also be added as an optional stop.
The route remains flexible throughout the day. Your guide will adjust the itinerary based on weather, road conditions, seasonal access, trail conditions, wildlife activity, group mobility, and your preferred pace. At the end of the experience, you’ll return comfortably to your pickup location in Banff or Canmore.
