Your experience begins with pickup directly from Emerald Lake Lodge. After meeting your guide, the day typically begins close to the lodge with time to enjoy the setting of Emerald Lake, one of Yoho National Park’s most beautiful alpine lakes.

From there, your guide may take you to Natural Bridge, where the Kicking Horse River has carved through ancient rock, creating one of Yoho’s classic natural features. When seasonally accessible, the route may also include Takakkaw Falls, one of the tallest and most dramatic waterfalls in the Canadian Rockies.

The journey then continues into Banff National Park for visits to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. At each lake, you’ll have time to explore the shoreline, take photos, enjoy the mountain views, and learn more about the surrounding glaciers, peaks, and valleys.

Depending on timing, conditions, and your group’s pace, the day may continue along the Icefields Parkway for scenic stops such as Bow Lake and Peyto Lake. These viewpoints offer some of the most recognizable glacier-fed lake scenery in Banff National Park and are a beautiful addition to the day when time and conditions allow.

The itinerary remains flexible throughout the experience. Your guide will adjust the route, stop order, and timing based on weather, seasonal access, traffic, wildlife activity, photography opportunities, and your group’s interests.
